I hold a Bachelor of Engineering degree, an entrepreneurship diploma from the University of New Brunswick and an MBA from London School of Economics. I have worked in the mining industry for 25 years. I sit on a number of boards, including the UNB Board of Governors, the New Brunswick Judicial Council, the New Brunswick Museum, and was formerly President of the Lamèque Cooperative. In 2022, I was awarded the Queen Elizabeth II Platinum Jubilee Medal for 20 years of community service.
A teacher by profession for 32 years at the Cité des Jeunes A.-M.-Sormany school in Edmundston and at the Université de Moncton, Edmundston campus, I have always closely followed the development of the Caisse populaire acadienne. My background is in education and business administration. I am seeking a third term on UNI’s Board of Directors. My motivation for getting involved is to see UNI succeed, so that members can be proud of their Acadian financial institution.
Retired and native of Scoudouc, I was Chair of the Board of the Fédération des caisses populaires acadiennes and have been active since 1990. I sit on the UNI Board as Chair of the Human Resources Committee and the Board of Trustees. I am Vice-President of the New Brunswick Nursing Home Pension Plan, a member of Shediac’s Town Council, and a former member of the boards of ANBL, Service New Brunswick and the Greater Moncton Roméo LeBlanc International Airport.
